Schools Wausau Pilot & Review
Wausau held back $2.26 million from schools and county for housing. Two of four named projects got nothing.
The extension cost the Wausau School District $1.36 million, Marathon County $698,000 and Northcentral Technical College $204,000, according to figures in the city’s 2025 financial report. The city’s own general fund forwent $1.61 million.
