Wausau’s proposed 2026 budget pares services while adding two new studies as grant cliff nears
Under the proposed budget, Wausau’s city property tax rate would rise slightly, from $8.71 to $8.75 per $1,000 of assessed value. That means the city portion of the tax bill on a $200,000 home would increase by about $8 next year.
